EXHIBITION "LIBERATION 1945: Men of the 2nd Infantry Division" - Blovice, Czech Republic

This year we will be unveiling two new exhibitions in the Czech Republic dedicated to the men of the 2nd Infantry Division. Also a grand 80th anniversary of the liberation of our homeland and hometown of Pilsen is awaiting us in May!

Today, we are pleased to announce that on February 13 our second exhibition of the project "Men of the 2nd Infantry Division" will be opened in the town of Blovice, Czech Republic - the town liberated by Captain Emil F. Meis and his men of Battery B, 15th Field Artillery Battalion, 2nd ID in May 1945. The exhibition will present the complete journey of this famous Division, from its formation during WWI, training in the United States in early 1940s, Northern Ireland, battles in Europe to the final campaign in Czechoslovakia. Each chapter of the history of the 2nd ID will also be described by selected memories of veterans!!

Through our exhibition, unique personal items, uniforms and equipment from our project collection as well as museum collections in the Czech Republic will be displayed. It is our great pleasure to be able to display unique collectibles that were donated to our project team by many families of WWII veterans of the 2nd Infantry Division and which will now be presented to the general public in the Czech Republic.

So there are really many attractions and if you have the opportunity to visit the Czech Republic from February 13 to May 22, 2025, do not hesitate to visit our exhibition in the town of Blovice (Museum of South Pilsen). You won't regret it!
